Fort Walton Beach 2012

We enjoyed staying at this beach so much last year that we decided to do it again this year. We had a wonderful time!
Besides going to the beach everyday, we also went to the movies to watch Spiderman, we saw the alligators at Fudpucker's, we rented a boat to go to Crab Island and to go fishing, and watched the Blue Angels Air Show at Pensacola Beach among other things. It was a really relaxing and fun vacation. We feel so blessed to have had great weather most of the time (the forecast said it was going to rain all week)!
Here are some pictures that I know will be so fun to see years from now. We all got great memories from this trip!

I'm not sure I want to remember this, but here is the "fish" Michael caught one night. We couldn't figure out what it was, but it looked like a little monster!! It croaked like a frog, had teeth and it just looked so weird. Yuck!!! He caught it at the beach, so it can't be a frog since frogs don't live in salt water.

I love Independence Day. I feel so grateful to be in this wonderful country. I've truly been blessed here and have made it my home.
We went downtown to a celebration with symphony, booming cannons and magnificent fireworks. We arrived three hours before the concert to find an easy parking space and to play at the park. We brought a picnic, ate, the kids played in the splash pad area and we enjoyed an afternoon in the fresh air (as much as a big city can offer). At 8pm we went to the concert area and were lucky to find a small line waiting for the remaining seats in the theatre... we were able to get great seats!!
