Father's Day - Part II

Besides my awesome dad, there's another wonderful father I know. Someone who is very caring and that plays with our kids like he's still one of them. Someone that makes our family really happy and that gives his all for us... guess who?

Father's Day

I've been planning a special blog post for a few days... in my mind I'd find the most amazing pictures of my father and me and post them on my blog to celebrate how awesome my dad really is. The problem is that I can't find almost any pictures with my father on them. He's always the one taking the pictures! :-( Ugh.

I want my dad to know that I love him and that I am super grateful for his example, love, dedication and sacrifice. He really gave his all for his kids and still does. I miss him so much!

This picture I found on a friend's Facebook page. My dad on the left, me, church friends, my sister Anna (white t-shirt) and on the far right is my mother. We were at the top of "Cristo Redentor"

"Festa de Debutantes" (15 years old party)

 This is a recent one.

Besides being a great dad, he's also a super fun grandpa. Check out his dance moves... not bad for a 75-year-old!

So silly :-)

Yes, he insisted on riding the Mary-Go-Round

My New Hobby

I'm super excited to be running (slowly, but doing it frequently). I started this new hobby to help me lose weight, but now I want to lose weight because I want to be better at it.

Here's some pictures of a couple races I did in April and May. We worked really hard to run all the way!

Rosie and I. Running of the Bears in Montgomery.  I finished this one in 34:27 (5K).

Carmen, I and Melissa. Impact a Hero Race. Finished this one in 36:10 (5K). It was hot!

Jack Is 3!

What can I say about this little guy?
He still walks on his tip toes as if it's the most natural form of walking.
He thinks everything in our house is his and he tells us so.
He sits on our cat every single morning and then proceeds to give her a hug and kiss.
He is not content until all our 1,000 hot wheels are spread out all over the house.
He watches the same Monster Truck show and Mighty Machines series every. single. day.
He loves yogurt and applesauce more than anything else in the world.
He tries to run out the house any chance he gets just like a puppy.
He loves being outside, even when it's super hot.
His favorite phrase is "Jack faz." (Jack do it).
He's super affectionate, funny and independent.
He loves music. He especially likes singing Brazilian songs with mommy.

Catching Up

It's been about seven months I don't blog. Time is going by so fast! So much has happened during this time.
In November 2012, I was called as my Ward's Primary President (and thus why I haven't blogged :-). We celebrated Thanksgiving at home and made rack of lamb for the first time. Yum!
In December our family went to Utah for Christmas. One of the events was seeing the Nutcracker! Michael also had a nice orchestra concert in school.
In January I had my birthday and Julianna was a finalist in the school district's art contest! We also went to a Monster Truck show for the first time. We met with the Iron Man Driver!!
In February we had Michael's birthday. Valentine's Day was fun for me and Marco. We went to a nice romantic dinner at Northwest Conference Center.
In March we had Marco's birthday and Raphael competed in the Rodeo's Mutton Bustin'. We also had Easter at the end of the month.
In April I ran my 3rd 5K race (first after four years!). Michael broke his arm jumping hurdles in school.
May just started, but there'll be plenty to celebrate in the next few weeks. :-)
